Gallery wrap mounting

When your image is printed on canvas and the canvas wraps around the sides, your Gallery wrap print will look like an oil painting. We have two mounting options for canvas wraps. The Gallery wrap box is constructed with two layers of acid-free foam board which keeps the canvas flat and protects the back of the canvas from humidity and airborne contaminants. Although this is not a stretched canvas, we use the same heavy-weight canvas that is used for stretching and you will find our finish and quality of materials exceeds that of a stretched canvas.

Options for the sides:

• The image can wrap around the sides. This works great if there is enough space around your main subject. If not, it will look from the front as if it were cropped too much.
• We can clone the background of the image on one or more edges using Photoshop (no extra charge).
• We can print a solid color or color with texture on the sides (see examples). The color can be black or the same as some color in the image.
• We can stretch the outer 1-2 inches on one or more sides to become twice as wide.
• We can make a mirror image of the outer 1-2 inches on one or more sides.

Box depth:

The distance the box stands out from the wall can can range from 1 to 3 inches. We recommend that the box depth is 1.5 inches or greater for 16x20 or larger prints both because it looks best and because it results in a stronger box. Prints in the largest sizes look great with a 2-inch depth.

Specify custom size in inches for instant Gallery wrap price: Orientation The width is shown in the table as the smaller dimension, so the width is the horizontal dimension for portrait orientation and the vertical dimension for landscape orientation. Make sure your image fits on the print To obtain the largest print for the lowest price, be sure to select “crop to chosen size” on the options page or, if you don't want any cropping, follow these steps to compute the dimensions for gallery wrap with the image on the sides: Choose a depth and the small dimension. Compute the large dimension: Add twice the depth to the small dimension, multiply by the ratio of the pixel dimensions of the digital image (1.5 for uncropped SLR image), then subtract twice the depth.  ?  Add custom size to table After you enter dimensions and click on “go”, the price will be displayed and can be added to the table for comparison with other sizes. When you are happy with an entry in the table, select that one by clicking on the “Choose options” button. Decimal inches You can enter sizes as fractions of an inch. For example, for 12 and a half inches, enter 12.5, for 16 and three quarters enter 16.75. The resulting print size will be accurate to within a quarter of an inch.  ?  Depth: 1.00 1.25 1.50 1.75 2.00 2.25 2.50 2.75 3.00   Face dimensions:  X  >>    The maximum size is 28x36 for 1.75 depth.
