Floating mount

We developed the Floating mount as an elegant yet less expensive way to display prints. Like our Gallery wrap and Box mount products, the prints are dry mounted to museum quality 3/16-inch foam board.

 

In this case, however, the foam interior core of the black board shows around the edge while suspended off the wall by a hidden black box. An additional layer of foam board on the back keeps the print perfectly flat. A hanging wire is provided on the back so they can be hung on an adhesive or nail-supported hook (provided).

 

These prints are less expensive and can be larger than the similar Gallery wrap and Box mount prints.

 

The mat-look border on the example is optional. The depth (distance of the print from the wall) can range from 1 inch to 3 inches.

Print is mounted on black foamboard which is supported off the wall so it looks as if it were floating. You can spedify the depth (distance of print from the wall) and an optional black border where the paper covering of the foam board is visible...more

Giclée reproduction floating mount

Here you can see the handsome look of borderless with a black edge that stands out from the wall. This image was copied from a large original drawing by REDIpix.com, then printed on fine art paper.

Borderless print on luster paper

This digital artwork was printed on 13x17-inch luster photo paper then mounted on black foam board and suspended from the wall on a black hidden box. The luster photo paper shows colors and blacks very well, but suffers from some glare and reflections (but is better than glass!).
